蝶阀也称蝴蝶阀，其特点: 流体阻力较小、重量轻、结构简单、结构尺寸小，启闭迅速，制造较其他阀门节省材料。

因蝶阀比闸阀经济、调节流量性能好，故能够使用蝶阀的地方最好不要使用闸阀。对于设计压力较低、管道直径较大，要求快速启闭的场合一般选用蝶阀。蝶阀有软密封和硬密封两种类型。选择软密封和硬密封主要取决于流体介质的温度。相对而言软密封要比硬密封的密封性能好。

① 结构简单，体积小，重量轻，耗材省，别用于大口径阀门中;

缺点：

Shortcomings:

① 流量调节范围不大，当开启达30%时，流量就达到近 95% 以上。

② 由于蝶阀的结构和密封材料的限制，不宜用于高温、高压的管路系统中。一般工作温度在 300℃ 以下，pn40 以下。

③ 密封性能相对于球阀、截止阀较差，故用于密封要求不是很高的地方。
